Neil Smith is founder and owner of Hdi RAWworks, a post-production boutique specifically setup to bring affordable file-based workflows to HD and digital filmmakers. Hollywood is under going a major shift to digital production and post and with his high-tech background, Neil saw an opportunity to bring his expertise and knowledge of complex IT systems to bear in the data driven world of modern digital filmmaking. The very first images of the first RED camera were graded at Hdi and since then he has supervised the coloring and finishing of many feature films, shorts, commercials and music videos. Never one to stand still, Neil has recently embraced RAW based workflows and the intercutting of cameras like the Canon 5D MkII and 7D with the RED ONE.
