HD SLR CENTER OF EXCELLENCE:
Hdi RAWworks together with Canon USA, Birns and Sawyer, Redrock Micro Systems, Marshall Electronics, LitePanels, Carl Zeiss USA, Hot Rod Cameras and Porta-Jib is proud to announce the first meeting of the HD SLR Center of Excellence. The HD SLR Center of Excellence is designed for everyone interested in creating compelling content using HD enabled DSLR cameras. The Center will cover key aspects of camera use, production and post-production and appeal to professional filmmakers and photographers wanting to get the most out of HD SLRs.
The first meeting will take place on the old Warner Hollywood Studio Lot on Formosa Avenue in West Hollywood from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday May 1st, 2010. Attendees will be able to sign-up for membership in the HD SLR Center of Excellence, obtain discounts from the vendors and network with other enthusiasts.
Tim Smith from Canon USA along with Canon USA ‘Explorer of Light’, Rodney Charters, ASC and Bob Primes, ASC will present workshops on lenses, lighting and shooting with the Canon range of HD enabled DSLRs. Jared Abrams, HD SLR guru and reporter on Cinema 5D will also be present to handle questions on practical production and shooting.
